Prosthetic Solutions to Transmetatarsal Traumatic Amputation
Hráček, Karel ; Pavlů, Dagmar (advisor) ; Černý, Pavel (referee)
Title: Prosthetic solution of traumatic transmetatarsal foot amputation Objectives: The main goal of my work is to design a prosthetic solution for a patient after a traumatic transmetatarsal amputation of the leg with the intention of restoring the function of the leg with respect to its natural appearance, maximally reducing the risk of injury to the patient so that he can use normal sports shoes. A partial goal is to increase the mechanical resistance of the prosthesis during increased physical activity and to create a production procedure that can be used by other active patients. Methods: The bachelor thesis consists of a theoretical part and a practical part. In the theoretical part I primarily draw on professional publications and articles related to the given issue. The practical part consists of the actual case study of the patient with a focus on the production of a prosthesis according to his disability, which is based on the data obtained from the analysis of posture and gait. Results: The case report was processed within two months in the non-state medical facility Proteor CZ s.r.o. Ostrava, based on the specific needs of the patient. The resulting prosthetic product met all the goals we set together with the patient. The manufactured prosthesis improved the patient's movement...

Author: Eliška Němečková Title: Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient with Unilateral Transfemoral Amputation Objectives: Aim of this bachelor thesis is summary of theoretical knowledge about lower limb amputations and diabetes mellitus and processing of case report of patient after transfemoral amputation due to diabetes mellitus. Methods: This thesis consists of two main parts. The first part is devoted to summary of theoretical knowledge about diabetes mellitus, including general information about this chronical disease, its complications and treatment. It also contains summary of basic information about amputations, rehabilitation after lower limb amputation and prosthetic possibilities. The second part is practical and it is a detailed case report of physiotherapy treatment of patient after transfemoral amputation. It contains detailed complex kinesiology examination, itemization of individual therapeutic units and final evaluation of therapy effect. The case report has been prepared on the basis of practice in the rehabilitation center Vršovická zdravotní a.s. in the period from 14th January to 8th February 2019.
